App-V end of life
App-V support has ended. MSIX is where Windows is going.
Microsoft ended App-V extended support on 14 April 2026. MSIX is the format Microsoft is investing in for Windows 11, Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop app attach, and Windows 365.
Forge converts existing App-V packages directly to MSIX or MSI, with no resequencing and no original installer needed. Signing, manifest fix-ups, and modification packages are handled inside the workflow.
